Job Description

Conneaut City Health Department is seeking a Full-time (36 Hours per week) Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) or Environmental Health Specialist in Training (EHSIT). Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a current registration with the Ohio Department of Health as either a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) or Environmental Health Specialist in Training (EHSIT). Applicants must possess a current valid Ohio driver’s license, auto insurance and have their own vehicle for reliable transportation. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Conducts inspections of food operations, marinas, body art, schools, private water, household sewage treatment systems, smoke free work place programs, and other public or semi-public facilities; Prepares reports which determine compliance with state and local codes and regulations. Conducts field tests and/or collects various samples as assigned. Maintains accurate files, data processing and other office records; Conducts educational presentations, including Level 1 Food Safety Training.

Salary

$19.00-$24.50
