Are you a registered nurse with a passion to positively impact the lives of children and families in Greene County? 

Greene County Public Health is seeking a nurse to support first-time mothers and families. Through the Nurse-Family Partnership program mothers and families have a personal nurse to provide much needed support during the emotional, social, and physical challenges of becoming parents. The successful candidate will have the ability to positively impact the lives of children and families well into the future. 

Job Duties:  Perform client assessments by acquiring health and family histories and make appropriate referrals; utilize a variety of nursing and counseling skills; provide client education; prepare and maintain patient records; instruct and counsel parents and clients regarding communicable disease, child and family health, and child development. Assess the needs of individuals, families, or communities, including assessment of individual home or work environments to identify potential health or safety risks. Develop health improvement programs. Provide education and information to individuals, families, community groups, schools, and other groups on topics including but not limited to health, disease prevention, childbirth, and child development. 

All Greene County Public Health employees have an emergency response role and may be expected to respond to threats to the public’s health in accordance with the Greene County Emergency Response Plan.

Minimum Qualifications:  Baccalaureate degree in nursing with a minimum of six months experience in public health or equivalent required. Current and valid Registered Nursing License (RN) issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing, CPR certification, and valid driver’s license required. Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Health District Information System (HDIS), Ohio Department of Health Gateway programs (e.g., Early Intervention Data System (EIDS), Medicaid A Claiming, MATCH, Ohio Comprehensive Home Visiting Integrated Data Systems (OCHIDS), AHLERS, etc.) and video conferencing training including Cisco WebEx, GoToMeeting, Zoom provided upon hire.

All newly hired employees must provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination per the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention guidelines on start date.

Work Schedule:  To be determined. Greene County Public Health offers compressed work and flexible schedules. Early mornings and evenings may be required to meet the needs of families.
