POSITION INTRODUCTION
The PHN Coordinator utilizes nursing and public health concepts and theories along with epidemiology to assist in disease surveillance, prevention and control for individuals, families, facilities, and the community. Provides input, program, and clinical support in a variety of clinics and community based public health programs within the Public Health Nursing Division. Assists in training of public health nursing staff. Upholds quality assurance, safety, and other program initiatives. The PHN Coordinator will ensure program strategies and deadlines are met.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
* Bachelor’s degree in nursing
* At least five years of direct nursing care experience with strong clinical skills; public health nursing experience preferred.
* The ability to uphold standards related to HIPAA, OSHA, and universal precautions.
* Strong communication skills and public speaking skills.
* An understanding of nursing scope of practice and delegation.
* Organizational and planning skills.
* The ability to appropriately interact with a diverse population.
* Ability to work in a team environment and interact effectively with other staff members.
* Skilled in use of computer systems, web-based software applications.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
* Active license as a Registered Nurse in Ohio in accordance with ORC 4723.12.
* Current CPR Certification.
* Must be able to pass a B.C.I. Background Check
* Ability to pass a drug screening.
* Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License.
Salary: $ 29.12 Hourly
