Position Description: The Highland County Health Department is accepting applications for the Director of our Public Health Nursing Division. This leadership level position will: supervise day-to-day operations of the Public Health Nursing Division, assist in budget preparation, develop policies, manage grants, provide oversight for clinical services, oversee and develop community health initiatives, and perform other duties as required. This position will also work directly with patients in vaccine administration, phlebotomy, patient education, and other public health nursing duties.
Hours: Full-time, Exempt (38 hours per week /76 hours per pay)
Salary is commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Qualifications: Licensed registered nurse, Bachelors of Science in Nursing (or related bachelors degree), Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience required, Valid driver’s license/insurance, Current CPR/AED certification
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or related field. Prior experience in supervisory roles, experience in public health settings, experience with childhood and adult immunization recommendations/requirements, experience in grant writing and management
