The Knox County Health Department is seeking a registered nurse for a Public Health Nursing position in the Public Health Outreach division. The responsibilities of this position will include but not be limited to: administering immunizations to both children and adults at on-site and off-site locations, manage the Newborn Home Visiting program; Cribs for Kids program; Falls, Assessment, Community, EMS, Safety (FACES) program; assist with the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH) program; and other duties as assigned or requested.
Applicant must be currently licensed registered nurse in the State of Ohio and baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred. Experience working with a diverse population in public health nursing, case management, knowledge of infectious disease, immunization administration, and electronic health records a plus. Individual needs to possess ability to work autonomously, work with a variety of community partners, good communication skills, and computer skills.
This position is full-time (40 hours) with normal hours M-F 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Hours may vary) and include occasional evenings and weekends.
