Successful candidate must meet qualifications per Ohio Revised Code 3709.11: He/She must be either a licensed physician, licensed dentist, licensed veterinarian, licensed podiatrist, licensed chiropractor, or the holder of a master’s degree in public health or an equivalent master’s degree in a related health field as determined by the members of the board of health. The successful candidate shall also possess a minimum of five (5) years previous experience in senior management in a health district or health related field. Candidates shall have experience including accreditation, quality improvement (QI), strategic planning, assessment, policy development, program planning, public speaking, community/collaborative partner relations, public health sciences, municipal budgeting, leadership and diplomacy. A valid Ohio driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance and successful completion of both a BCI background check and an FBI background check are required.
