Hours: Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, normal business hours Monday thru Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM; this position will require evening and weekend hours to address health concerns in the community and attend Board of Health meetings and community events as required.
Responsibilities: Supervise personnel in the Health and Wellness Division (H&W); grant management including completing competitive proposals, budgeting and reporting; develop policies and procedures of H&W programs; participate in ongoing community health assessments; collaborate with community and agency partners; work with private physicians and healthcare professionals to promote public health programs and achievement standards set by the Ohio Department of Health; participate and provide on-going education of self and staff; represent the Geauga County Health District at outside committees.
Requirements: Current RN licensed in the state of Ohio in good standing; BSN and two years of health experience or RN with five years public health nursing experience; communicable disease and emergency planning experience; three years supervisory experience; experience writing, budgeting and reporting grants. Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft Office package. A valid Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of automobile insurance, and good driving record are required. A background check and drug screening will be required prior to employment.
Compensation: Salary Range $43,680.00 - $62,400.00. Hourly rate is commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes paid federal holidays, sick, vacation and personal leave, OPERS retirement program, and health, dental and life insurance.
