Registered Environmental Health Specialist / Registered Environmental Health Specialist-in-Training

Seeking qualified candidates for the position of Full Time Environmental Health Specialist or Environmental Health Specialist-in-Training.

Applicants must be an Environmental Health Specialist-in-Training or Registered Environmental Health Specialist or meet the requirements of the Ohio Department of Health to become an Environmental Health Specialist-in-Training or Registered Environmental Health Specialist.

All candidates must hold a current, valid driver’s license and have access to a dependable motor vehicle. Candidates that do not have an Ohio driver’s license must obtain an Ohio license within 30 days of hire.

Job responsibilities will include inspection and consultation in the following programs: food safety, public swimming pools, schools, nuisances, body art, Smoke Free Workplace, manufactured home parks, private water systems, and sewage treatment systems.

Hours:   Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. This position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week. 

Salary:   Starting salary is dependent on qualifications and experience, EHSIT: $22.27 - $24.00 per hour; REHS: $24.72 - $28.37 per hour.
