Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator I (PHEP)

The Ross County Health District is actively seeking a motivated Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator I (PHEP) within the Division of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement.

POSITION INTRODUCTION - GRANT FUNDED

The (PHEP) Coordinator I is a grant funded position and is responsible for assuring all public health emergency preparedness deliverables tied to the funding source are completed in a timely manner. The (PHEP) Coordinator will serve as the agency Emergency Response Coordinator and will assure that all health district emergency preparedness plans are completed, kept current, are disseminated, and that staff and leadership are appropriately trained to implement the plans. The position will collaborate with external emergency response personnel at the local, regional, and state level for planning and response to various public health emergencies and will serve as a leadership team member for the agency in the activation and execution of emergency response plans in event of a public health emergency. The (PHEP) Coordinator will serve on the agency’s Incident Command Team and will assist in the response to both public health emergencies training activities and during public health emergencies. The (PHEP) Coordinator is organizationally positioned within the Health Promotion and Quality Improvement Division and reports directly to the Director of Health Promotion and Quality Improvement but will be responsible for working with all divisions within the agency to continuously improve upon the agency’s emergency response capabilities.

Pay Range: pay is commensurate with education and professional experience.

Salary: $20.56 - $25.00 per hour

Hours: Full-time, Non-Exempt, classified, Occasional weekend or afterhours required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:

Ability to pass a B.C.I Background Check and Drug Screening.

Ability to prepare informative and accurate reports.
