Environmental Public Health Planner (PPM III) - Seattle & King County has a new opportunity in the area of land use planning and health. This position provides leadership and coordination for all planning and public health policy development and implementation of strategies relating to land use, the built environment, climate change and community environmental health assessment. REGISTERED SANITARIAN OR SANITARIAN-IN-TRAINING – MEDINA COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Medina County Health Department’s Environmental Division is seeking qualified applicants for a Sewage and Water Programs Registered Sanitarian or Sanitarian-in-Training. Primary duties include: • Conducting on-site inspections for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of new and existing sewage and water system installations to ensure they meet required health standards. • Evaluating the suitability of soil for on-site wastewater disposal, real estate evaluations, analyzing subdivision plans submitted by developers/engineers/surveyors, lot evaluations, etc. • Enforcing compliance with state sewage and water regulations. • Investigating sewage and water public health nuisances. • Educating and consulting with the public, owners, and operators on public health issues related to sewage and water systems from acquired inspection data. • Writing reports and correspondence.
