Supervisor – Clinical Services – WOOD COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Wood County Health Department is seeking a Supervisor – Clinical Services. This position is full time, exempt, non-bargaining. Supervises and coordinates multi-disciplinary staff during service activities of public health clinic including but not limited to 1) immunization clinics, 2) family planning, 3) adult health and 4) others. Directs and assigns staff to achieve program, grant and clinic goals with maximum quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and nursing standards. Collaborates with other agencies on behalf of both the individual client and the system of services available in the community. Makes referrals to appropriate community agencies and maintains client records, charts, and program or grant requirements. May be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays with travel within and outside the county. Required Qualifications: Must have at least a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with focus in community or public health nursing and health education or completion within one (1) year of hire. Master’s degree preferred. Licensed registered professional nurse in the State of Ohio and a minimum of five (5) years prior experience in public health nursing. Must have a minimum of one (1) year supervising the work of others in a clinic or physician’s office setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and have reliable transportation. Must successfully pass criminal background and driving record checks. Family Nurse Practitioner – WOOD COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: The Wood County Health Department is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner. This position is full time with collective bargaining status. Uses advanced clinical judgment in providing nursing care to adults, children and infants. Provides appropriate level of nursing care including examination, health teaching, treatments, health counseling and referral, and guidance to individuals and groups. Evaluates health care outcomes according to client response and through participation in quality assurance activities. Reviews and revises protocols to maintain current standards of client practices. In collaboration with clinic physicians, reviews and revises protocols to maintain current standards of client practices. May be required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays with travel within and outside the county. Required Qualifications: Must be a licensed registered professional nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio. Must hold a current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or ANP/PNP from an Ohio Board of Nursing approved national certifying organization, such as American Nurses Credentialing Center. Must have Ohio Certificate of Authority (COA). Must have Prescriptive Authority. Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and have reliable transportation. Must successfully pass driving record and criminal background checks.
