COVID-19 Contact Tracing Supervisor

Help track down where COVID-19 is spreading. This temporary, supervisory position is your opportunity to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Working with the Ohio Department of Health, this position will supervise a unit of Contact Tracers. These “disease detectives” will gather critical information from Ohio residents diagnosed with COVID-19 by identifying their contacts and calling every contact who lives in Ohio. The Opportunity:
The Contact Tracing Supervisor position will:
• Supervise a unit that performs all functions of COVID-19 community response
• Coordinate schedules and provide daily troubleshooting assistance
• Provide support & gather information about COVID-19 including information about the disease
• Collect and record information into a database and provide weekly progress/summaries
• Assist tracers by providing contacts with approved information about Ohio quarantine procedures, and if appropriate, referring them to testing according to protocol
• Assist with triaging and coordinating next steps for care
• Use a telephone, computer and electronic equipment to capture data
• Perform quality assurance and provide feedback to team
• Participate in quality improvement conversations with ODH leadership Maintain daily contact with supervisor

Qualifications:
• 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. as ombudsman in governmental agency or private sector
Or
• 12 mos. exp. as Customer Service Assistant 3, 64433, for assigned agency
Or
• Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in public health, medical, or related field
• Previous supervisory or management experience
• Interviewing skills
Ohio resident preferred and familiarity with Ohio geography, specifically cities/towns/villages required.

Project Duration: 12-18 months (estimate)

Location:
This job will be performed mostly remotely - teleworking from your residence. There may be a need to travel occasionally to conduct in-person interviews and to provide support for the contact tracing team.
