Soon the Fairfield Department of Health will be a Nationally Accredited Health Department. To continue and work on the future reaccreditation process, we are seeking an Accreditation Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Public Policy, Business or similar degree, with 4 years’ experience in program management, or master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, or Business with 2 years’ experience in program management.  Candidate must also have a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Summary of Essential Duties: Under the direction of the Health Commissioner &/or Administrator, oversees the departments process for developing and submitting PHAB Accreditation requirements. This position will also be responsible for setting up a CRI/POD site in the event of an emergency in Fairfield County. Evaluate the health department accreditation readiness and assist the department in meeting the Public Health Accreditation Board’s Standards and Measures. Ability to demonstrate leadership in the role of Point of Dispensing (POD) management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) accreditation process, familiarity of PHAB standards, measures, and domains preferred. Knowledge of emergency preparedness/Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) grant preferred. Knowledge of public health programs.
