Public Health Intern/Special Projects Assistant

Part-Time Temporary Intern: Up to 20 hours per week, April 2019 – December 2019

Rate: $14.00 -$16.00/hour

Job Duties: Assist CCPH staff with multiple projects including HIPAA compliance assessments, and development of a Community Health Assessment/Community Health Improvement Plan. Duties will include primary and secondary data collection, analysis, reporting, and document development. Assist with community-based groups in collection of primary data and meeting facilitation. Participate in agency, community and regional meetings as needed for coordination of projects. Reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must be working on or have a graduate degree in public health or related field, including nursing, environmental health or epidemiology. Must be a self-starter and independent worker. Must have good verbal and written communication skills and strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Publisher. Experience working with data, including the ability to identify and interpret a variety of data sources. Must have regular attendance. Staff will assist in working with student on meeting education requirements needed by intern, if applicable.
