PROBLEM GAMBLING PREVENTION PROJECT MANAGER
Advanced level position in the prevention occupation requiring thorough knowledge of the Strategic Prevention Framework process and training strategies. Under general direction employee is responsible for managing Addiction Services’ Problem Gambling and Prevention Programs and collaborating with the efforts of the Montgomery County Prevention Coalition
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Community Health or other related social services field with three years of experience in prevention education or counseling activities, one year of which should be in chemical dependency. Applicant should have one of the following licenses or certifications; OCPS, OCPC, LCDC III, LICDC, LSW, LISW, LPCC or LPC or PCC.
- If applicant does not possess an OCPS or OCPC they must attain this certification within two years of date of employment.
- Current valid Ohio driver’s license & access to a motor vehicle
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Collaborating and assisting the activities of the Montgomery County Prevention Coalition
- Conducting and facilitating programming as needed
- Ensuring use of and fidelity to the Risky Business curriculum for target populations
- Researching evidence-based best practices
- Developing program logic models
- Monitoring and reporting program outcome measurement and evaluations
- Preparing Program and capital equipment budgets
- Preparing Grant Applications
- Educating community partners on problem gambling prevention initiatives
- Developing prevention campaigns
- Coordinating training, conferences, and workshops
- Supervising prevention team
