PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE

Ashland County Health Department

The Ashland County Health Department is seeking a registered nurse for a Public Health Nursing position in the Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH) program.  The responsibilities of this position will include but not be limited to: case management and home visiting, assisting with administering immunizations to both children and adults, assisting with communicable disease reporting; and other duties as assigned or requested. Experience working with a diverse population in public health nursing, case management, knowledge of infectious disease, and immunization administration is a plus.

Requirements of this position are currently licensed registered nurse in the State of Ohio, valid Ohio Driver’s License, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance.  Applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have proficient computer skills.  Individual needs to possess ability to work autonomously and work with a variety of community partners.

This position is full-time (35 hours) or part-time (4 days) with normal hours M-F 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Occasional evenings and weekends. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation, sick time (FT only), personal leave (FT only), and retirement; health insurance available for full-time.
